"When I went on testosterone, my body rapidly changed, and although it became more comfortable for me, I quickly realized that most people are deeply uncomfortable with the idea of non-normative genitalia. I decided to portray the pubic area as a monstrous creature, using the Hellmouth opening (from medieval art) as a doorway into a scary, unfamiliar world."
