"When I was an undergrad in the late 80s Keith Haring came to my school to create a mural. I had the chance to sit with him for a while and showed him my sketchbooks and he told me "after graduation, just draw your characters and explore who they are, just draw until you understand as much of their language and world as possible." and this piece is capturing that memory of sitting with Keith.
